1. Who we are
Fire Lily Studio Ltd ("we", "us") is an independent animation studio registered in England and Wales, company number 16612098, with our registered office at Forma House 40 Bowling Green Lane London EC1R 0NE. 2. What we collect and why
Commission enquiries
When you use our enquiry form or email us, we collect your name, email address, organisation and project details. We use them to reply and discuss a possible project. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Clients
If we work together, we keep contact details, briefs, contracts and invoices to deliver the project and meet our legal and tax obligations. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you give them, your first and last name. We use them to send studio news, new films and behind-the-scenes updates. Lawful basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Website use
Our website uses cookies. See section 6.
3. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the studio, under contracts that protect it:
– Wix.com, which hosts our website and forms;
– Substack, which sends our newsletter and handles unsubscribes;
– Meta (Instagram), only if you accept third-party cookies and view our Instagram feed.
We may also share data where the law requires it.
4. International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
5. How long we keep data
– Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 3 years.
– Client and financial records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to.
– Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner, unless we must keep it by law.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies set by Wix so the website works and stays secure. These don't need consent. We may also use statistics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular. We use this information only to improve the site, and you can switch these cookies off at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. Our Instagram feed is provided by Meta, which sets its own cookies. The feed only loads if you accept these cookies in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon in the corner of the site.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@firelilystudio.com. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please email info@firelilystudio.com with the subject "Data protection complaint". We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be on this page with the date at the top.
